Homeschooling is the ultimate science experiment! Unfortunately, it is rare that you will get the same results twice. There are far too many variables that are beyond your control. The uniqueness of each student requires that you make adjustments in order to achieve the desired outcomes. For most of us, this is a young person who is adequately equipped to meet the ever-changing challenges of every aspect of adult life. Still, if approached with love, flexibility and creativity, it is most often an amazing adventure that grows both teacher and student in notable ways.
Information, tools and appropriate resources are at the heart of every experiment. The vision of Homeschool Alchemy is to provide creative homeschoolers with easy to navigate relevant information and resource links that can assist families in creating a successful, customized educational blueprint for school and life.
Homeschool Alchemy’s approach is somewhat different than many of the other helpful homeschool sites. Our thoughts, favorite resources and shared experiences are certainly included. However, we are also a curator of numerous other perspectives and sites that you may find useful. The goal is to save you research time, and maybe present a nugget or two that you hadn’t considered.
We hope that you will help us create a viable, vital communal organism. If you don’t see a site or resource that is “gold” for your family, share your favorite sites, resources and businesses. Your share might be just what another family needs!
You can learn more about the Homeschool Alchemy story and the alchemists behind it here.
Like our home schools, this site is a work in progress. We have many exciting additions that we will be launching, so visit often to sift for gold!
